Minas Tirith is made up from several different images from the Tapestry. Originally it was to be just a background feature of the "Pelennor Fields" piece, but I liked the image so much that I decided it needed its own piece all to its self. |

Minas Tirith - The disaster!! the stitching is so close that it has gathered the edges and turned them into a frill I have learnt a valuable lesson - to use a frame for dense embroidery!! |
However the piece is savable. With a little help from Photoshop you can see what I propose to do. Cut all the outside off, leaving just the stitching and mount it on a black background. This will mean it needs to be framed, but as I have spent four months on it so far, I refuse to abandon it. And to be honest I prefer it on black. |
